Sandra Rivers-Gill is an award-winning writer, performer and playwright in Toledo, Ohio. She has been a featured poet around Toledo, Dayton and Bowling Green. Sandra’s poetry has appeared in or is forthcoming in Common Threads, Flights Literary Magazine, Mock Turtle Zine, SHE CHRONICLES and other publications. She is the editor of poetry chapbook, Dopeless Hope Fiends and is a recipient of a Toledo Arts Commission Accelerated Grant. For several years she has served as a panel judge for local poetry competitions, and facilitates Poetry, Prompts and Pens, a poetry workshop in the community. Sandra serves as the poetry instructor for Naomi Inc., a non-profit recovery treatment facility for women. She is presently a Masters of Liberal Studies student at the University of Toledo.
